Re: First build
Some polymer caps ..
Re: First build
Had some interested in a 1U version. Seems like it would be easy enough to mount the sidechain boards and just wire pots in? Could use those dact type stepped pots even and only have a single set of knobs for stereo since those are dual gang?
Stepped switches would be a lot to wire...
Talking about the first revision boards..Not sure how big the new ones are??

Re: First build
This version has the everything on one board. There's no separate sidechain boards. Pots or rotary switches are wired from the board.

Re: First build
I didn't realize that. The new diode version doesn't use the sidechain boards?
It wasn't clear in the build pic but it wasn't really a build I guess....

Re: First build
In the picture the grey wires coming from underneath the board are wires to the potentiometers.

Re: First build
Very cool design! What are the dimensions of the board? Also, how much current does it draw?
Re: First build
Current draw at idle is maybe 60mA. Current draw will be more if the output is driving 600 ohm loads, but those are rare these days. I used a 18V/1A wall wart for power.
I'll check the dimensions when I get home.

Re: First build
Dimensions are 270mm x 200 mm.
Re: First build
Got the board wired up and running.
Why are there three flicker LEDs? They all light up pretty much at the same time. Would just one LED not be enough for simple indication? Or is there another reason why it's three?
